11 tips for extending the battery-life:

Keep the camera lens cover closed until when needed.

Decrease the Tx power of your WLAN from 100mW (default) to 10mW. This is enough for most situations.
Change this value by opening Tools—>Settings—> connection—>Wireless Lan—>Options—>Advanced settings.
Scroll down to 'Power' and change it to 10mW.

Lower your screen's brightness
Change this value by opening Tools—>Settings—>General->Personalisation->Display->Light sensor.

Set your light time-out value to as low as possible, for example 10 seconds
Via Tools > Settings > General > Personalization > Display

Turn off auto scanning for WLANs
Change this value by opening Tools—>Settings—> connection—>Wireless Lan—>Options.

Set your power-saver time-out value to as low as possible, for example 1 minute
Via Tools > Settings > General > Personalization > Display

Only use the 3G/GPRS network when needed.
Change this value by opening Tools—>Settings—> connection—> Packet Data->Packet Data Connection

Close all programs that you are not using. They also consume power when they run on the background.
Open the 'taskmanager' by pressing the Menu-key for about 2 seconds (left large button). One by one select the programs that don't need to run in the background and close them.

Turn off Bluetooth when you're not using it.
After using a bluetooth connection the N95 doesn't turn off bluetooth automatically.
Change this by opening Tools—>Bluetooth

Make sure your phone has a good signal even when you're not using it.
If your phone is constantly straining to find a network signal it will use more power than if it's not. When your phone is in an area with poor network coverage it will use more power to force a connection with the nearest mobile mast base station.

Turn your phone off if you're in an area with no signal for a long period of time
